How to Add Trust Badges on Product Pages in Shopify (2025)

However, not all Shopify themes offer built-in image blocks for product pages.

That’s why, in this step-by-step guide, I’ll show you a beginner-friendly method that works on nearly all modern Shopify themes. Plus, no coding skills are needed! All you need is a Shopify app to get started.

How to Add Trust Badges Using a Shopify App

Let’s dive into the process. To make things simple, we’ll use the Trust Badges Bear Shopify App, which is free to install and beginner friendly. Follow these steps to add trust badges to your product pages:

Install the Trust Badges Bear Shopify App

  1. Log in to your Shopify Dashboard.
  2. Click on Settings in the bottom-left corner.
  3. Navigate to Apps and Sales Channels and click on it.

Next, on the Apps and Sales Channels page, click the Shopify App Store button located in the top-right corner. This will take you directly to the Shopify App Store. For a clearer understanding, check out the screenshot below:

On the Shopify App Store page, type Trust Badges Bear into the search bar. From here, you have two options: either click on the app to open its details page before installing, or simply click the Install button directly from the search results. For this guide, I’ll install it straight from the search page. Refer to the screenshot below for visual guidance:

Click the Install button once more to proceed with the download. Check out the screenshot below for reference:

Once the app is installed, you’ll be redirected to the Trust Badges Bear dashboard. By default, four badges are pre-selected. However, it’s crucial to update these badges to reflect the payment methods you currently accept on your Shopify store.

To customize the trust badges, click the Select Badges button and choose the icons that align with your store’s needs and requirements.

On the left side of the dashboard, you’ll find various options to customize your trust badges and update the heading. Feel free to explore these settings to tailor the badges to your preferences and align them with your brand guidelines.

If for any reason the trust badges don’t appear on your product pages after enabling the app, don’t worry! You can easily add the trust badges block through the theme editor.

Here’s how to access the theme editor:

  1. From your Shopify dashboard, click on Online Store.
  2. Then, click on the Customize button to open the theme editor.

In the theme editor, click on the dropdown menu at the top and select Products.

In the Products dropdown, choose the template you’re using for your product pages. In my case, I’m using the Default Product Page template, so I’ll select that one:

Now, on the left side, click the Add Block button. Under the Apps tab, select the Trust Badges Widget. Once selected, the trust badges will appear on your product pages. You can even drag and drop the widget to position the badges exactly where you’d like them to appear.
